Junior System Administrator (m/f/d)

Our portfolio includes consulting, project management, financing, supply, and implementation of process technologies from leading global manufacturers across industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, packaging materials, chemicals and energy, construction and infrastructure, and metal processing.

To strengthen our IT team in Hamburg, we are looking for a hands-on Junior System Administrator (m/f/d) who enjoys keeping systems reliable, supporting users, and working in an international environment.

Key Duties

• Administer, maintain, and operate our Microsoft Windows Server environment.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, system components, applications, and IT services.
• Carry out regular updates, maintenance activities, system adjustments, and operational improvements.
• Monitor system availability and performance, analyze issues, and resolve technical incidents.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support for end users across hardware, software, and application topics.
• Handle support requests from initial analysis through to resolution, both remotely and on site when required.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, permissions, and directory services.
• Document incidents, solutions, technical changes, and operational procedures.
• Maintain and update system documentation and support knowledge resources.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external IT service providers.

Job Requirements & Profile

• Professional experience in the administration of Microsoft Windows Server systems.
• Solid knowledge of client and server environments, IT infrastructure, and workplace support.
• Experience in 1st and 2nd level support, ticket handling, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
• Structured, service-oriented, and solution-focused working style.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support users in a professional and friendly manner.
• Team-oriented mindset, reliability, accountability, and a high degree of ownership.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.
• German language skills are an advantage.
