Junior System Engineer

In this role you help configure, test and deploy Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems for airports. You work alongside experienced engineers across the project lifecycle, from design support to on-site commissioning, building practical skills and contributing to reliable, compliant systems. You gain exposure to regulations, standards, products and airfield operations through structured on-the-job training. • Support projects from production release through testing, commissioning and customer acceptance
• Assist with system configuration, testing and troubleshooting under guidance
• Provide progress updates, flag risks and technical issues
• Collaborate with airport authorities, maintenance teams, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Maintain documentation and adhere to engineering, quality and safety processes
• Configure proprietary software and basic Windows/Linux systems
• Read schematics and cabinet drawings with support
• Support hardware integration, cabinet testing and on-site commissioning
• Prepare and execute test plans and records
• Support Factory QA, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and customer training
• Record defects, support root-cause analysis and verify corrective actions
• Follow safety and quality requirements during testing and commissioning
• Open and update AutoCAD/pdfs drawings and keep documentation current

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable technical discipline
• Foundational practical knowledge of Windows and/or Linux
• Basic understanding of computer networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
• Basic ability to read and modify AutoCAD drawings
• Basic understanding of electrical or automation systems and hardware interfaces
• Initial exposure to PLCs, TIA Portal, Siemens S7 or industrial protocols is an advantage
• Ability to organize work, manage priorities and seek support when needed
• Any internship or hands-on experience in automation, IT, electrical systems or commissioning is an advantage
