MB Energy, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Hamburg, is an independent and integrated energy company operating across Europe, the United States, and Singapore. We are seeking a Junior Treasury Manager (m/f/d) – Liquidity, FX and Working Capital Optimization to join our finance team.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Treasury Manager you will act as a key interface between Business, Treasury, and Accounting teams, and play a vital role in strengthening liquidity efficiency and cash flow transparency across our operations.

• Support working capital optimization by identifying opportunities across receivables, payables, inventories, and collateral processes.
• Assist in monitoring collateral usage across exchanges and bilateral agreements and support liquidity planning activities.
• Prepare short‑ and medium‑term working capital and cash flow forecasts and analyze liquidity impacts under different market scenarios.
• Track Group‑wide foreign currency exposures and contribute to treasury activities related to liquidity and risk management.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures to improve visibility and performance tracking.
• Participate in automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance the efficiency and transparency of treasury and working‑capital processes.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, Risk, Accounting, and IT teams, providing financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Early professional experience in Finance, Treasury, Accounting, or Controlling (internships, student positions, or graduate programmes).
• Basic understanding of cash‑flow management, financial analysis, and treasury‑related topics.
• Strong affinity for enterprise systems such as ETRM, Treasury Management, and ERP, with excellent Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or Databricks is an advantage.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured and data‑driven mindset.
• Fluent in German and English.
