Laboratory Engineer for Semiconductor Test & PCB Design

As a Lab Engineer at SEMRON, you will design mechatronic test assemblies and PCBs to enable automated testing and characterization of custom ICs. You will implement automation routines to streamline testing of dies, wafers, and prototype boards, and shape the lab environment to support advanced AI compute chip development. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate electrical and mechanical requirements into reliable test solutions, driving precision and efficiency in our lab workflows. This role offers hands-on impact in a cutting-edge, fast-moving AI hardware context.

• Design mechatronic assemblies for automated test and characterization of dies/wafers
• Program automation routines for automated testing and characterization
• Design PCBs for test automation
• Design PCBs for prototype systems with our custom chips

• Background in component-level circuit design and general electrical engineering
• Experience with PCB design for analog low-noise applications
• Interest in test automation for highly integrated analog circuits
• Experience with mechanical CAD design
• Base knowledge or willingness to re-learn semiconductor device physics
• Experience with Python scripting or Matlab, LabView
