Lead AI Engineer (DRWN)

Job title – Lead AI Engineer, GenAI & Voice Agents

Client Location – Germany

Remote work offering – ~90% remote (team meets in person every 4-6 weeks)

Client Industry – Technology & Digital Innovation Consulting

Contract Length – 3-4 months (running through year-end, exact end date to be confirmed)

Contract type – Freelance

You’ll join a team building a voice-based AI agent product, combining real architecture ownership with hands‑on engineering. This is a hybrid role rather than a purely managerial one: you’ll shape the technical direction of the agent stack while staying directly involved in building it.

Key skills and Experience required

• Proven track record building GenAI / agentic solutions in production
• Hands‑on experience with agent orchestration frameworks, particularly LangGraph
• Strong software engineering and technical architecture skills, comfortable owning both design and implementation
• Experience building voice agents / voice pipelines (e.g. Pipecat) highly valued
• Real‑time voice processing experience a strong plus
• Familiarity with WebRTC / LiveKit a strong plus
• Strong product sense – able to anticipate user needs and translate them into sound technical decisions rather than simply executing a predefined spec
