At softgarden, we're looking for a Lead Business Analytics (m/f/d) who combines analytical excellence with leadership skills. You'll help shape how we measure success, uncover opportunities, and provide the insights that guide strategic decisions across the business.
This is not a pure management role. We're looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, building solutions, and leading by example.
What you'll do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Analytics team.
- Own and continuously improve executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting structures in Power BI.
- Support the development of our Microsoft Fabric data platform by integrating new business data sources and improving data pipelines.
- Conduct business analyses to identify trends, risks, growth opportunities, and operational improvements.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Define business requirements for BI and data projects and ensure high data quality standards across reporting environments.
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI-supported analytics to improve reporting efficiency and business impact.
What you bring along
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Controlling, FP&A, or a comparable analytical role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, and stakeholder reporting/communication.
- Experience working with SQL, data pipelines, and modern data warehouse environments.
- Experience leading projects, initiatives, or small teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making at different organizational levels.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in a SaaS environment, Microsoft Fabric, Python, AI-driven analytics, or Tableau-to-Power-BI migrations is a strong plus.
