Lead Customer Solutions Scientist (M/F) - Biopharma

Role & Team

To support the growth of our Health & Pharma Solutions (HPS) Business Unit, we are looking for our next Lead Technical Customer Solutions – Biopharma (M/F) on a permanent contract. Ideally based in Germany, with 30‑50% travel across Northern Europe. Alternative locations may include Benelux, the UK or Ireland.

This strategic role operates at the intersection of science and business, supporting biopharma customers from early development through commercialization. The role works closely with Sales, R&D, Marketing, Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and commercially viable.

Mission

Act as a technical expert and key interface between customers and internal teams, contributing directly to customer success and business development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and deliver expert technical support on biologics and parenteral applications throughout the sales cycle.
• Understand customer R&D, formulation and process challenges.
• Guide customers in selecting and implementing Roquette solutions.
• Build strong scientific relationships and develop long‑term relationships with customer technical teams.
• Act as the link between customers and internal stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into practical, actionable solutions.
• Contribute to business development by identifying new commercial opportunities and supporting strategic account development.
• Contribute to the successful positioning and adoption of Roquette’s solutions.
• Promote Roquette’s expertise, design and execute technical studies in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop technical content such as white papers, case studies and presentations.
• Represent Roquette at scientific conferences and industry events.
• Provide market insights, monitor trends in biologics, manufacturing technologies and regulatory requirements.
• Capture customer feedback to support innovation and product development.

Education

Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Biotechnology or Life Sciences.

Experience

5–7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with experience in formulation development, process development or technical support.

Languages

Fluent English required; Fluent German is a plus.
