Lead Data Scientist (Fully Remote)

• We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our Growth Data Science team at Mercury Insurance.
• In this role, you will partner closely with our Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience organizations.
• You will identify growth opportunities, optimize strategies, and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work directly with leaders to diagnose business challenges and define analytical roadmaps.
• Develop analyses, models, and frameworks to optimize customer acquisition and retention.
• Build scalable ML solutions like targeting, segmentation, and LTV prediction.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 7+ years in data science or growth analytics.
• Preferred: MS/PhD; 5 years experience with SQL and statistical software; 1 year in P&C insurance.
• Expert-level SQL and Python; experience with A/B testing and production ML models.
