Lead Electrical Engineer

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you own the electrical scope for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects, guiding design, grid connection, and execution from early planning through commissioning. You will lead interdisciplinary teams and coordinate with EPC partners to ensure technical excellence across the project lifecycle. The role sits in a well-capitalised renewable platform expanding in Germany, offering influence over major storage developments and grid integration. You will shape delivery for multi-hundred MW BESS programs, driving compliant, scalable solutions that support the company’s growth in the German market.

• Lead the electrical engineering scope across utility-scale BESS projects
• Manage system design, grid connection, and technical compliance activities
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, external consultants, and EPC partners
• Support project development, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
• Ensure compliance with German grid codes and industry standards
• Review and approve technical documentation, specifications, and designs
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams

• Strong experience in utility-scale renewable energy, power infrastructure, or BESS projects
• Experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle
• Strong understanding of grid connection and HV electrical systems
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across complex projects
• Fluent English; German language skills beneficial
