Lead Engineer Embedded Software Development, expert

Please find the position that I'm looking urgently for Engineers :

Freelance - Lead Engineer Embedded Software Development:

Preferably Germany-based or remote within Europe

Technical expertise:

• Strong C programming skills, including memory management, concurrency, interrupts, low-level debugging, and performance optimisation
• Hardware-near software development and the ability to read schematics
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and protocols such as SPI, I²C, CAN, UART, and Ethernet
• Firmware architecture and modular software design
• Bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, and secure firmware updates
• Watchdogs, fault handling, deterministic timing, power management, and resource-constrained systems
• Embedded cybersecurity: secure boot, code signing, threat modelling, and vulnerability management
• Embedded CI/CD, automated testing, and HIL testing
• Technical leadership responsibilities are expected

• Depending on experience
• Occasional travel to Neumünster, Germany
• 1st Octobre 2026
• 12 months contract + extension
