Lead Engineer Laravel at job platform for international & refugee talents (m/w/d)

As our Lead Engineer, you will work directly with our co-founder team and take full ownership of the technical development, operation, and scalability of Workeer’s platform.

You’ll bring your technical expertise and vision to ensure the platform not only runs smoothly but also delights users. Working closely with our team, you’ll develop innovative and practical solutions that directly impact our mission.

Tasks

• Leading the charge on developing and scaling our platform
• Building, shipping, and iterating on features that enhance user experience
• Owning all things tech—stability, security, and long-term scalability
• Managing external dev partners and setting the stage for an in-house team
• Turning big-picture ideas into tangible, innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Deep expertise with our tech stack: Laravel, Docker, MariaDB, MJML, Vue.js, jQuery, Stripe, Statamic.
• Solid experience in building and scaling web apps—you’ve done this before
• A hands‑on approach: you roll up your sleeves and get things done
• A sense of ownership: you treat the platform like it’s your own
• Passion for making a difference—topics like diversity and inclusion excite you
• Leadership skills: you know how to guide teams (or are ready to step into this)
• Familiarity with our tech stack: Laravel, Docker, MariaDB, MJML, Vue.js, jQuery, Stripe, Statamic.
