Lead Finance Business Partner (m/w/d) R&I und V&I

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the R&I and V&I budgeting and planning process including the RBU, MTP and Budget in collaboration with the FP&A Lead Germany.
  • Act as a trusted finance advisor to BuD R&I and V&I as well as Country CFO.
  • Managing/Owning the monthly close for R&I and V&I business, ensuring a high quality month end close and forecast accuracy.
  • Responsible for preparing in depth financial analysis of budgets, forecasts and actual results for monthly review by senior management (BuD, CFO, CP). Triangulate the data: financials, market insights and market share to understand the key business drivers.
  • Lead preparation of presentations (country visit) and associated analysis for senior management.
  • Owns the local financial planning for R&I and V&I.
  • Continuous coordination and strong collaboration with cross‑functional areas: Pricing & Market Access (discounts) and AIMs especially around financial planning process (RBU2 and MTP).
  • Strategic overview of the Therapeutic Areas (TAs) and development of proposals for resource reallocation for brands within R&I and V&I.
  • Identification of growth opportunities and performance improvements, development of action‑oriented proposals to achieve the goals in collaboration with the business (BuD).
  • Shared responsibility for the business strategy and the performance cycle of the respective TAs in the cross‑functional team.
  • Responsibility for sharing best practices within the German and regional/global teams.
  • Active participation in S&OP meetings with a focus on ensuring growth and forecast accuracy for R&I and V&I brands.
  • Continuously driving efficiency of process, leveraging AI and promote a growth mindset.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant university degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the finance/controlling area – preferably in marketing/sales organizations and another area (e.g., regional/global role, corporate finance, or leadership responsibility as a finance manager for a mid‑size market).
  • Desirable: Understanding of the (German) pharmaceutical market.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated (direct/indirect) leadership experience in the finance area for more than 5 years.
  • Analytical Thinking: Very good analytical thinking and numerical understanding.
  • Problem Solving & Solution Orientation: confident handling of complex tasks, pronounced analytical and strategic skills; critical and quick thinking; decision‑making ability as well as goal orientation.
  • Influencing Skills: Ability to influence cross‑functional decisions, motivation of employees without direct reporting line.
  • Communication: Very good communication and presentation skills, ability to present complex relationships simply, experience with senior management presentations.
  • Accountability: Ability to work independently and take responsibility as well as teamwork.
  • Entrepreneurship: Willingness to take risks, action‑oriented behavior, high flexibility in a dynamic work environment, willingness to further develop oneself and the status quo.
  • Team Player: Demonstrated excellent skills in dealing with teams and social competence.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good handling of SAP, Excel, Business Intelligence Software, and other analytical tools.
  • International mobility for further development is highly desired.
