Overview

As Lead Mechanical Engineer you will drive mechanical design and delivery for mission-critical data centre projects across borders. You collaborate with a global team to develop advanced 3D designs up to working documentation level, oversee live-site brownfield work, and manage risk and commissioning activities. You’ll shape technical scope, engage vendors, and communicate with clients and internal leadership to ensure high-quality outcomes. Verantwortungsbereiche

Manage and deliver mechanical work packages across multiple projects
Define scope, objectives and project documentation for contractors, vendors, and regulators
Write technical specifications and reports
Assist the project manager with cost and risk assessments
Develop and maintain vendor relationships and ongoing technical development
Review contractor pre-qualifications and tender evaluations; advise on vendor selection
Represent the company at factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning
Communicate project status to internal directors and external clients
Contribute to cross-border multidisciplinary work and internal process optimization

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)
At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and/or installation
Good knowledge of standard practices in design and construction
Strong understanding of clients’ daily operational needs
Entrepreneurial, proactive and flexible attitude
