WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

Team Prometheus builds AI-enabled capabilities that help clients and internal users get better insight from post trade data. The team works at the intersection between enterprise data, AI applications, and client-facing product innovation. We are looking for a new colleague to our agile team, who can take a leading role in designing, building, and evolving our agentic application. This is a role for an experienced engineer who combines strong C#/.NET skills with practical understanding of AI, LLM-based systems, data integration, and responsible software delivery. You will help turn complex client and product needs into scalable, maintainable, and reusable capabilities. You will work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, architects, and other AI specialists to build solutions that are reliable, secure, testable, and suitable for enterprise use. As an agile team member, you will not only deliver code. You will influence architecture, raise engineering standards, and help shape how our AI applications are built and operated in a regulated financial technology context. AI will play an important role both in what we build and how we build. We actively explore modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development workflows, including tools such as Claude Code, to support experimentation, learning, and implementation speed. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Build and integrate AI-powered application features, including LLM-based workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, agent integrations, and data-driven user experiences
• Translate complex product- and client needs into clear technical designs and sustainable implementation plans.
• Contribute to component architecture, integration patterns, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Stay current with relevant AI technologies, frameworks, patterns, and limitations, and help to apply them pragmatically.
• Raise the quality bar through code reviews, design reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure development practices.
• Collaborate and share knowledge with other engineers, and help shaping the ways of working to grow the team’s engineering capability and AI application maturity.
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI output quality and production monitoring.

WHAT WE VALUE

Core Engineering

• 5+ years of experience with C#/.NET and backend development in enterprise or product software environments.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, clean code, API design, integration patterns, and maintainable software architecture.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and modern engineering practices preferably on Azure Dev Ops.
• Experience with cloud-based development and services, preferably Azure.

AI and Data

• Good practical understanding of AI application development, including LLM-based solutions.
• Familiarity with prompting strategies, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, evaluation methods, and common LLM limitations.
• Curiosity and discipline to follow the rapidly evolving AI landscape and apply new approaches pragmatically.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms preferably - Snowflake,

Leadership and Collaboration

• Thriving in an agile team environment
• An eye for how to break outcomes into smaller batches/deliverables, with fast feedback loops
• Confidence in breaking down ambiguous problems and turning them into clear technical direction.
• Experience leading technical work, shaping designs, and taking ownership of important components or services.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and help the team improve engineering practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and locations.

Nice to have Experience from fintech, financial services, investment management, or another regulated industry. Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI output quality and production monitoring
