This includes enabling secure and compliant interoperability with EHR systems, third‑party healthcare platforms, and partner solutions, while supporting the evolution toward data‑driven and AI‑enabled applications without disrupting clinical operations.
Key Objectives
- Define a holistic reference architecture across edge, mobile, and cloud environments, ensuring seamless interaction between devices, applications, and platforms
- Establish and drive a cloud and platform evolution strategy, including migration approaches for existing systems and integration of new digital products
- Enable offline‑capable edge and mobile workflows, combined with scalable cloud services for data processing, analytics, and AI‑driven applications
- Ensure secure and compliant integration with EHR systems, third‑party healthcare platforms, and partner solutions
- Provide strong architecture governance across multiple parallel initiatives, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability
- Support the evolution of FotoFinder’s data and AI platform capabilities, including data pipelines, interoperability, and advanced analytics
Your Responsibilities
- Design and own the end‑to‑end architecture across the full product ecosystem, including mobile applications, connected devices, on‑premise components, and cloud platforms
- Define modular system boundaries, APIs, integration patterns, and data ownership models across distributed systems
- Develop and drive the evolution and migration roadmap, from existing on‑premise solutions toward scalable, cloud‑enabled and platform‑based architectures
- Ensure seamless integration with EHR systems, third‑party healthcare platforms, and partner solutions, applying interoperability standards where applicable (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Guide and align distributed development teams (cloud, mobile, application, infrastructure) and ensure architectural consistency across initiatives
- Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and decision frameworks across the organization
- Collaborate closely with product management, regulatory, clinical, and business stakeholders to align architecture with product strategy and market needs
- Drive technology selection and platform strategy decisions, balancing innovation, scalability, and regulatory constraints
- Ensure secure, compliant, and robust handling of clinical and patient data across all system components
- Support the development of a scalable data and AI platform, enabling advanced analytics, image processing, and AI‑driven use cases
Technical Expertise
- Define and implement scalable, secure, and compliant AWS‑based cloud architectures supporting FotoFinder’s digital ecosystem, including imaging platforms, AI services, and clinical data workflows
- Architect and govern the usage of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, IAM, API Gateway, CloudWatch) to enable reliable, high‑performance, and interoperable solutions
- Design hybrid cloud architectures, ensuring seamless integration between cloud services, offline and edge/device components with secure data synchronization
- Establish and enforce Infrastructure‑as‑Code standards (Terraform, CloudFormation) to enable reproducible, auditable, and scalable environments across multiple stages and regions
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, enabling continuous delivery while ensuring traceability and compliance in regulated environments
- Design and enforce cloud security architectures, including IAM strategies, encryption (at rest and in transit), VPC/network segmentation, and zero‑trust principles aligned with healthcare data protection requirements
- Implement observability, monitoring, and logging strategies (metrics, tracing, alerting), ensuring system reliability, performance transparency, and efficient incident response
- Drive cloud cost governance and optimization, including cost visibility, resource optimization, and architecture decisions balancing performance, scalability, and economic efficiency
- Ensure regulatory compliance and auditability of cloud environments, supporting standards such as ISO 62304, ISO 13485, and secure handling of patient data
Microservices & Distributed Systems
- Microservice architecture design and decomposition of legacy systems
- API‑first design and lifecycle governance
- Event‑driven architectures and asynchronous communication
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)
- Resilience patterns, versioning, and backward compatibility
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MySQL) and cloud‑native options (RDS, Aurora)
- NoSQL technologies where appropriate
- Data modeling, schema evolution, and synchronization strategies
- Backup, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Auditability and traceability in regulated environments
MedTech & Healthcare Domain
Experience in regulated environments is highly valued:
- Medical or clinical software systems
