Lead Solutions Architect

As a Lead Solutions Architect, you own premier enterprise relationships in the DACH region, combining technical depth with commercial influence. You will shape complex deals, deliver compelling demos, and turn conversations into rapid AI-assisted prototypes. You’ll mentor fellow SAs, grow Databricks' technical presence, and drive regional best practices. You join a collaborative team that values impact, leadership, and a strong data-MAI agenda.

• Lead and manage complex enterprise accounts through from initial technical discussion to production deployment
• Deliver demos and pitches to budget holders and C-level stakeholders
• Create working prototypes quickly using AI-assisted development to shorten delivery cycles
• Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and Senior SAs in collaboration with Field Engineering leadership
• Strengthen Databricks' regional technical presence via collateral, workshops, meetups, and conference talks
• Develop and roll out best practices and repeatable processes across the region
• Foster close collaboration with internal SMEs, product teams, and leadership

• Fluent German and business English
• Extensive experience in technical pre-sales across full sales lifecycle
• Ability to drive technical and business conversations with C-level executives and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Strong track record in data landscape with expertise in data engineering or data science
• Hands-on coding in Python and SQL
• Daily use of AI tools in work; comfortable with AI assistants for development
• Ability to assemble credible, working demos with AI assistance and good judgment on outputs
• Hands-on experience running complex proofs of concept on major public cloud
• Judgment to prioritize use cases and navigate a competitive landscape
