Legal Counsel (f/m/d) – limited to 12 months

We are looking for a Legal Counsel working in the EU Legal Department as member of the Business Legal International Team. In this role you will work as a legal expert within the Business Legal team, acting as a central interface between the business, internal departments, and external contractual partners. You will contribute to a dynamic environment shaped by continuous technological advancements and the integration of new digital features.

The role is based in our Frankfurt office.

What you do

• Provide legal advice on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and contractual matters across different regions
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including distribution agreements, MSAs, service contracts and investment management agreements
• Support cross-functional projects involving business, infrastructure, and compliance teams
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in German and European law relevant to asset management and financial services, such as cross-border distribution, DLT Pilot Regime and a broad range of product governance requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure legal risk is appropriately managed
• Contribute to the development and refinement of internal legal policies and templates
• Provide support to other teams within the EU Legal Department on a selective range of tasks.

What you bring

• Qualified German lawyer (Volljurist), solicitor, or equivalent qualification with above-average grades
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Strong interest in Legal Tech and AI tools
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus, and other European languages are beneficial
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of German and European commercial and capital markets law.
