Machine Learning Engineer

In this role you contribute to design and development of ML software for GT-SUITE, enabling customers to train and deploy metamodels within a multi-physics engineering environment. You will build interfaces and extend APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to apply ML to regression, classification, anomaly detection, and digital twin initiatives. You will mentor peers, propose state-of-the-art solutions, and stay technically current to drive customer success and product impact.

• Design, develop and maintain ML functionality for a Java-based ML product used with GT-SUITE
• Prototype and implement advanced data science and machine learning algorithms for engineering environments
• Collaborate with internal/external users on regression, classification, anomaly detection, and digital twin projects
• Develop customized user interfaces and workflows in Java Swing
• Enhance and extend the Python API
• Export and load trained metamodels in C code for hardware-limited devices like ECUs and microcontrollers
• Coordinate with Solver/GUI and Applications teams to identify ML opportunities
• Mentor peers, review code, and contribute to design discussions
• Stay updated with state-of-the-art ML solutions

• 3+ years of programming experience in Java
• 2+ years of professional ML project experience
• 1+ year hands-on experience with at least one ML framework
• Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts
• Professional experience writing optimized C code
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
