Machine Safety Engineer m/f/d

In this role you ensure the safety of machinery across design and production, shaping compliant safety solutions within a global automation group. You will collaborate with engineering, production, service, and R&D to identify risks, define protective measures, and maintain CE documentation. • Conduct risk assessments for machinery and equipment
• Identify safety risks and develop mitigation measures
• Inspect safety guards, emergency stop systems, and safety functions
• Develop safety concepts, inspection reports, and CE documentation
• Maintain and update safety documentation during development and production
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Service, R&D, and Project Management
• Provide safety advice during design and commissioning
• Support audit and certification processes
• Manage and maintain CE compliance and machinery safety standards
• Develop standardized safety concepts and protective measures
• Train employees and project teams on safety requirements
• Advise internal departments on standards, directives, and safety solutions
• Provide administrative support for CE and machinery safety tools

• Completed technical training or degree (ideally in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
• Solid knowledge of machinery safety, CE conformity, and DIN/EN/VDE standards
• Experience with DIN EN ISO 13849 and Functional Safety
• Confidence in conducting risk assessments and implementing protective measures
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical safety devices and functions
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, 2D CAD, MS Office, and ideally SISTEMA
• Ability to assess technical interrelationships from 2D/3D data and fluid diagrams
• Analytical, solution-oriented approach with a commercial mindset
• Very good command of German and English (written and spoken)
