Maltego Transform Developer (m/w/d)

Maltego is a visual link analysis tool that comes with a standard set of data connectors called Transforms and offers real‑time data mining and information gathering. It works with open source intelligence (OSINT) data out the box and allows users to connect their own data via Maltego’s server products or to use the data from Maltego’s Transform Hub partners. For more than 10 years, Maltego has empowered investigators worldwide to make sense of data.

Why we need you

We are looking for a developer to design and implement transforms that pull data from public sources and data partners into the tool. Your work will enable a diverse range of investigators—including law enforcement, financial crime teams, cyber‑security analysts, penetration testers, and large enterprise customers—to access high‑quality data. The ideal candidate is self‑driven, eager to learn about different industries, and communicates effectively.

What to expect

Your role will include designing transforms, implementing them in languages such as Java and Python, and ensuring seamless access to partner data via RESTful APIs and databases. You will collaborate with data‑partner, product‑design, and engineering teams to create new, engaging ways to access a variety of sources.

Your profile in short

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in writing API connectors and scalable applications
• Proficiency in Java and Python (minimum 1 year full‑time experience)
• Strong background with database integrations, enterprise‑level, distributed, and scalable applications
• Experience with application frameworks such as Spring for Java, Node.js, and similar technologies
• Fluent in English and enthusiastic about learning and tackling challenges
