Manager Cybersecurity Presales - DACH Region (f/m/d)

In this role, you lead the cybersecurity presales function for the DACH region, shaping the security narrative and driving strategic opportunities. You partner with sales and partners to align on strategy, resource planning, and business outcomes. You coach and develop a high-performing team while evangelizing the new cybersecurity portfolio. You balance technical depth with business value to secure enterprise-level wins and elevate HPE’s security messaging across networks, SASE, and cloud security.

• Own presales contribution to regional business results and KPIs
• Partner with sales to drive strategy, account planning, and pipeline assessment
• Monitor resource assignment and utilization to meet business goals
• Collaborate across org to influence product design with field experience
• Coach and manage team performance aligned with HPE values
• Lead and support skill development and sales evolution
• Apply a financial and as-a-Service selling approach to customer engagements
• Represent HPE strategy and evangelize the Cybersecurity Portfolio internally and externally
• Build cybersecurity expertise across the DACH presales team through enablement and mentoring
• Ensure consistent security messaging and architectural positioning across networking, SASE, SSE, data-center security, identity, and cloud security
• Provide leadership and escalation support for strategic opportunities and complex proofs of concept
• Maintain relationships with decision-makers and ecosystem partners
• Grow a motivated high-performance team recognized as thought leaders for the cybersecurity portfolio

• University or Bachelor's degree
• Typically 10-12+ years in technical sales or related functions
• Strong technical acumen paired with business skills
• Experience in people management
• Positive attitude with the ability to motivate others
• Deep understanding of modern enterprise security architectures and products (SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, secure SD-WAN, NAC)
• Strong knowledge of network and security technologies (NGFW, IDS/IPS, IPsec, TLS inspection, VPN/ZTNA, SWG, CASB, DLP, identity controls)
• Ability to guide teams through security discovery, architecture design, and proofs of concept
• Experience leading customer workshops, executive briefings, architecture whiteboarding, demos, and POCs
• Working knowledge of IAM concepts (MFA, SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, RBAC)
• Understanding of Security Operations and integrations (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR, AI SecOps, vulnerability management)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK, GDPR, NIS2, DORA)
• Entrepreneurial attitude to drive new approaches and business opportunities
• Excellence in communication, presentation and negotiation with C-level clients
• Business proficiency in German and English
