This player‑coach role leads a global team of Field Application Scientists and stays actively engaged in hands‑on customer support, training, and troubleshooting across Europe and North America. About the Role

• Global leadership of the Field Application team across Europe and North America
• Based in Berlin with extensive regional and international travel (up to 80%)
• Strong focus on after‑sales support: customer training, application guidance, and troubleshooting
• Player‑coach model combining leadership with hands‑on field work and direct customer engagement

What You Will Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Field Application Scientists
• Deliver hands‑on customer training, application support, and troubleshooting in the field
• Define, implement, and monitor KPIs, processes, and support quality standards
• Drive customer satisfaction, feedback loops, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in science or engineering; advanced degree (MSc/PhD) preferred
• Strong laboratory/application background with the ability to translate science into customer value
• Proven people‑leadership experience with a passion for developing teams
• Excellent communication skills with confidence in customer‑facing and training environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading field‑based, customer‑facing scientific teams globally
• Strong understanding of relevant life‑science applications
• Experience with KPI management, process design, and operational excellence
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
