Manager II, Production

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is located in Wolfschlugen, Germany. The product lines for this business includes; Ball Screws, Lead Screw, Nuts and Linear components. The job requires a combination of driving continuous process improvements and daily management.

The Production manager will be responsible for managing and driving results of the Production area including Shipping, Services and Process Engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and maintain Daily Management.
• Budget responsibility
• Drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Costs.
• Promote the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) tools while improving RBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in RBS tools.
• Drive "best practices" in all areas of responsibility.
• Develop a strategy for process improvements and drive those within the area of responsibility. Lead and monitor Production's performance through direct involvement, team development, coaching, establishment of goals and good countermeasure practices. Assure coordination of plant functions, responsibilities, budgetary performance, manpower utilization, skills, equipment, and facilities.
• Plan and determine manpower requirements based on an understanding of goals and objectives.
• Direct the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness. Continually upgrade, direct, comply with, and enforce Company safety programs and policies.
• Maintain building, grounds, equipment, and facilities to provide and sustain a quality-working environment supportive of maximum efficiency, productivity, and return on investment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in manufacturing management.
• An engineering background is strongly preferred due to the highly technical nature of the products.
• Working familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and concepts.
• Success in managing through influence, persuasion, coaching and counseling.
• Self-starter, with experience driving toward team-based organizational structure and culture preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude of diplomatic change management preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills.
• Solid organizational and administrative skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude in organization development through a combination of effective talent planning, associate development, and "top grading," when necessary.
• Excellent communications and instruction skills.
• Familiarity with various technical manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Engineering, and an MBA is desired.
• Five or more years' manufacturing experience, with prior management experience. Prior Plant/Operations daily management, process development and organizational development experience in a Lean/Pull operations environment.
• Prior experience with utilizing lean methodology and tools to improve operations.
• Experience in high technology, and preferably capital equipment, environments are desirable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires some overnight travel within Europe and occasionally globally. Therefore, the successor must be willing and able to travel by rail, car, bus and air. (5%)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The successor must be able to speak and write German and English to complete reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in English and German.
