The central Maintenance Section within the Technical Services Department manages the building services in the hotels and workspaces and is responsible for their maintenance and all technical and safety‑related processes.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and expand the maintenance department, ensuring quality assurance and standardisation of all technical and safety‑related processes.
  • Oversee Southern European hotel properties and maintain them to a high standard.
  • Manage technical building services, optimise maintenance, and plan repair work.
  • Act as point of contact for hotel technicians, train them, deliver training sessions, and optimise workflows.
  • Ensure maintenance, repairs and new installations are cost‑effective, on time and meet required standards.
  • Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, inspection deadlines and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Help draft service contracts, review contract terms, obtain quotes, and handle claims with insurance companies.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed an apprenticeship in building services engineering.
  • Several years of professional and managerial experience in a similar field, ideally managing properties abroad.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
  • Strong knowledge of building services engineering as well as control and measurement technology.
  • Professional manner, loyalty and integrity.
  • Problem‑solving skills with creative and business acumen.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
