Managing Director / Plant Manager (f/m/d)

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering) or a comparable technical discipline
• Proven success in establishing and/or scaling a manufacturing site, including start-up and ramp-up
• Experience in an international environment, ideally with a German headquarters
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset, decisive leadership, and consistent execution
• High level of initiative combined with a hands‑on approach
• Business‑fluent proficiency in Spanish, English, and German
• Willingness to be based in Mexico; readiness for international travel

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of the new manufacturing facility (greenfield build‑up)
• Manage the industrialization process and production ramp‑up
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing team
• Implement standardized processes and clear information and reporting pathwaysEnsure best‑in‑class quality management, workplace safety, and environmental compliance
• Collaborate closely with HQ in Offingen with regular KPI reporting
• Support customer relationships and business development activities throughout North America
• Manage budget, investments, cash, and P&L within approved frameworks
