Manufacturing Equipment Engineer (f/m/d)

In this role you maintain and optimize handler and scanner systems within a semiconductor backend environment. You coordinate between maintenance teams, manufacturers, and external service providers to ensure reliability and performance. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and implement upgrades while maintaining precise documentation. Your work supports production readiness and continuous improvement of test and backend equipment. This is an hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes equipment availability and quality standards.

• Execute and coordinate electrical and mechanical maintenance on handler systems, liaising with manufacturers and managing spare parts
• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and calibrate handler components
• Perform electrical and mechanical work on scanner systems, including calibration
• Monitor and optimize contact performance
• Coordinate production implementation of handler conversion kits and upgrades with equipment manufacturers
• Provide technical support and coordination for docking-related maintenance topics
• Prepare and maintain PM plans, PM checklists, calibration certificates, and related records
• Provide technical guidance and support for maintenance technicians
• Coordinate and supervise installation and maintenance by external service engineers and contractors
• Maintain and update technical documentation

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Metrology, or related engineering field; or relevant professional experience
• Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing, backend operations, test engineering, or similar technical area
• Solid understanding of backend test systems and related production equipment
• Self-driven, able to work independently
