Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Stellenbeschreibung:

Overview

Senior Technical Program Manager - Taiwan (Copy) • Taipei Area (Remote + Onsite at Factory) • Operations • Remote • Full-time

Instrumental builds the manufacturing acceleration platform behind the world’s most complex electronics. We capture digital exhaust and engineering context from assembly lines—images, test logs, BOM data, performance, repair cycles—and our AI engines identify insights that are difficult or impossible for human engineers to find. We accelerate the companies building the AI era by improving manufacturing yield, throughput, and ramp. Instrumental has become mission-critical for manufacturers building and scaling the next generation of AI infrastructure hardware.

Instrumental is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Systems Engineer to lead and service strategic customer programs across Taiwan (and partner with our team in China to deliver solutions for Vietnam and other APAC regions as needed). As our sole on-the-ground representative, you will work directly with customers and contract manufacturers (CMs) to integrate, optimize, and expand Instrumental’s AI-powered manufacturing solutions. This is a high-impact, customer-facing engineering role supporting some of our fastest-growing accounts during a period of rapid company growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a background in manufacturing design, automation, or technical program management — someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence and customer engagement. You’ll have the autonomy to drive outcomes while collaborating with a global team to ensure customers achieve transformative value. You’ll be traveling to factories across Taiwan, Asia Pacific, and the world. The ideal candidate is multi-faceted, technically savvy, organized, and deeply customer-oriented.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own end-to-end program delivery for strategic accounts. In this role, you’ll travel to customer factory sites to deploy Instrumental hardware/software into manufacturing environments and accelerate customer time to value by hand-tuning Instrumental algorithms and software. You’ll have support from our global team, but will be accountable for program success.
  • Build relationships with customers and factory stakeholders. While on-site, you’ll build rapport with the stakeholders critical to Instrumental’s success and pave the way for adoption. You’ll establish a strong technical and dependable reputation for yourself and Instrumental.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across time zones to resolve challenges. Act as the central point of communication between engineering, product, and customer teams worldwide, ensuring alignment and timely resolution of technical or operational issues. You’ll bridge time zones and disciplines to keep projects moving forward and develop customer confidence in Instrumental’s solutions.
  • Leverage Instrumental’s software to drive value. Quickly become an expert in Instrumental’s software and technology, including non-customer-facing functionalities. Identify how to maximize system performance—whether by physical tweaks, adding training labels, or reproducing customer tests—and translate that value to customers.

What You Have

  • Experience getting things done in electronics factories. 5+ years of professional experience in electronics manufacturing, doing engineering or operations—either on the brand or EMS side. You understand factory environments, processes, and politics and can leverage that expertise to get things done quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete missions. A track record of mission ownership and completion, delivering despite challenges, and applying diverse engineering and operations skillsets to critical company missions.
  • Love the factory floor more than an office. This role is based at a customer factory site with regular travel to other factory sites, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong relationship-building skills. You naturally develop trust with customers, suppliers, and partners, and can represent the company externally while fostering long-term, collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent written and spoken Mandarin and English communication. This role requires rapid and effective communication with global stakeholders, representing Instrumental with key customers.

You’re encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn’t precisely match the job description.

At Instrumental, protecting company and customer information is a shared responsibility. All employees are expected to comply with company security and privacy policies and promptly report suspected security incidents or policy violations.
