Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, strategic and commercially minded Marketing Lead to drive the TECA (Trauma, Extremities & Craniomaxillofacial) marketing agenda in Germany. In this role you will own the local go‑to‑market strategy for the TECA portfolio, lead a small cross‑functional marketing team, and work closely with EMEA and global marketing to translate regional and global priorities into locally relevant, compliant and high‑impact initiatives. You will be accountable for commercial performance, product launches, lifecycle management and market development activities that increase adoption, enhance customer value and support sustainable growth.

Location and Reporting

This is a Germany‐based role with regular travel to customer sites, congresses and cross‑functional meetings. You will report to the BU Director TECAS Germany and work closely with Sales Leadership, Clinical Affairs, Finance, Planning and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the local TECA marketing strategy and annual commercial plan in alignment with EMEA and global objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop the local marketing team (Product Managers, Asset Managers, Business Development Managers): set objectives, monitor performance, and build functional capabilities.
  • Own end‑to‑end product launches: develop positioning, value propositions, clinical and economic value stories, pricing approach, launch plans and readiness checklists.
  • Drive portfolio strategy and life‑cycle management: segmentation, portfolio optimization, master data quality and prioritization of investments.
  • Conduct market, customer and competitor analyses to identify growth opportunities, white spaces and potential new business models or service offerings.
  • Partner closely with Sales to design account‑level adoption programs, training and clinical education initiatives; translate field insights into marketing actions.
  • Align with cross‑functional stakeholders (Finance, Planning, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Ortho Kit/Consignment, Field Service, Added Value Solutions) to ensure integrated execution and operational readiness.
  • Monitor commercial KPIs (revenue, margin, price/volume/mix, ROI) and implement corrective actions when performance deviates from plan.
  • Lead local congress, event and medical education strategy: manage agency partners, content, budgeting and onsite execution.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and internal governance requirements (e.g., HCC, CE/MDR, complaint handling) and maintain thorough documentation and risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical champions and healthcare payer stakeholders to support evidence generation and uptake.
  • Drive internal and external communication of portfolio strategy with consistent messaging, stakeholder alignment and change management support.

Key Interactions

  • Sales leadership and field force
  • Clinical Affairs / Medical Affairs
  • Finance, Planning & Strategy teams
  • Regulatory & Quality Assurance
  • Supply Chain / Logistics / Ortho Kit management
  • External agencies and medical education partners
  • Key Opinion Leaders, hospital management and procurement

Success Measures (first 12 months)

  • Clear, actionable local commercial plan aligned with EMEA/global priorities and approved by leadership.
  • Successful execution of at least one major product launch or major lifecycle initiative with measurable adoption outcomes.
  • Improvement in portfolio master data quality and clearer prioritization of investments.
  • Positive trend in revenue, margin and price/volume/mix against plan for assigned portfolio.
  • Strengthened relationships with KOLs and measurable increase in customer engagement activities.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Several years of progressive experience in marketing and sales of medical devices, ideally within traumatology, orthopedics or TECA related areas.
  • Demonstrable track record of building and executing commercial strategies, leading product launches and delivering measurable business results.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding, including pricing, margin management, budgeting and ROI assessment.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders within a matrix organization.
  • Proven leadership experience in developing and coaching team members; strong people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, planning and project management skills, with a pragmatic and results‑oriented approach.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, able to engage clinical and executive audiences.
  • High level of digital literacy and proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel and PowerPoint); experience with CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., Showpad) is advantageous.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally to EMEA/global meetings.

Personal Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability.
  • Collaborative, inclusive leader who builds trust and aligns teams.
  • Comfortable working in an agile, fast‑paced environment and managing ambiguity.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a strong focus on improving clinical and economic outcomes.
  • High integrity and commitment to compliance.

Benefits

  • Competitive, above‑market compensation and benefits package.
  • Company pension scheme and additional employee benefits.
  • A dynamic international environment with strong development and career progression opportunities.
