Material Planner (m/f/d)

Stellenbeschreibung:

At RobCo, we radically rethink how products are made. Manufacturing today is still largely defined by manual, repetitive work. We are here to change that.
Our modular, software defined robotic solutions bring automation to industrial companies, from mid sized champions to global enterprises. By making adaptable automation accessible, we are driving efficiency, resilience and long term competitiveness where it matters most.
We are building Physical AI for the real world. Technology that transforms entire industries through autonomy, modularity and deep software integration. But it is the people who make all of this possible. We are looking for curious minds, driven builders and bold thinkers who want to challenge how things have always been done.

If that's you, join us and help us;

“Automate the ordinary,
so humans can do the extraordinary.”

RobCo was born from curiosity, ingenuity, and a simple but bold idea: robotics should be accessible to every industrial company. In 2020, Roman Hölzl, Paul Maroldt and Constantin Dresel came together at the Chair of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with a shared vision. They wanted to rethink how automation is built and deployed on the factory floor.
Frustrated by the rigidity, complexity and high costs of traditional robotic systems, they set out to create something fundamentally different. Autonomous industrial robotics centered on software and AI that makes automation adaptive, scalable and easy to implement without specialist expertise. From this idea, RobCo emerged as a company focused on helping manufacturers increase productivity, tackle labor shortages and bring Physical AI into real industrial environments.
Today, we build our technology in Germany and the United States, with engineering teams in Munich, San Francisco and Austin. Our systems are deployed across Europe and the US. They combine modular hardware, no-code automation tools and AI-powered capabilities to deliver robotics that just works—robust, flexible and scalable for real production environments.
Our mission is to build Physical AI for real factories, turning rigid industrial processes into systems that learn, adapt and scale. At RobCo, you are not just joining a company. You are joining a movement to automate the ordinary, so humans can do the extraordinary.

Solutions Production & Supply Chain Procurement & Purchasing

About the Role at RobCo

RobCo is building the category of Autonomous Industrial Robotics and we\'re doing it fast. We believe that automating the ordinary frees humans to do the extraordinary, and we\'re building the end-to-end robotics infrastructure to make that possible - hardware, software, and AI in one stack that just works.

As our Material Planner (m/f/d), you are the primary driver of our operational purchasing execution, translating demand planning signals into seamless supplier delivery. If something is broken, you fix it. If something can be automated, you build it. You will act as the vital bridge between planning, engineering, and our suppliers, ensuring our production workflows remain uninterrupted and highly efficient.

Your Responsibilities

Run MRP signals to determine what materials need to be ordered and precisely when, managing your assigned product categories.

Convert planned orders into formal purchase orders and actively manage their execution through to successful delivery.

Monitor stock levels and delivery dates, proactively keeping our ERP system current and highly accurate.

Manage day-to-day supplier relationships within your categories, including expediting, processing order changes, and executing delivery follow-ups.

Resolve delivery conflicts and supplier constraints, troubleshooting issues independently and escalating only when no resolution is possible.

Maintain close technical alignment with Engineering and Category Management regarding component specifications, substitutions, and sourcing constraints.

Drive inventory and ERP data accuracy across all assigned categories to prevent bottlenecks.

Build deep supplier and category expertise as our production volume and complexity continue to grow.

We\'re looking for someone who has:

Completed vocational training or a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or comparable experience.

Several years of experience in operational procurement, purchasing, or material planning.

Working knowledge of MRP logic and ERP-driven purchase order processing.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with comfort aligning closely with technical stakeholders on sourcing decisions.

Excellent prioritization skills when managing competing delivery deadlines within a complex, multi-unit category structure.

Culture-aligned mindset (e.g., "Strong ownership mindset", "Growth mindset", "Pragmatic working style").

Very good English skills (German is a plus).

Why join RobCo?

Develop modular, software-defined robotics solutions with us that set new standards in automation.

Help us build robots equipped with state-of-the-art AI that perceive their environment, analyze data, and make intelligent decisions in real time.

As part of a very dynamic and fast-growing scale-up, you will take on responsibility from day one, drive your own projects, and see the direct impact of your work.

Flat hierarchies, open communication, and regular 360° feedback enable fast decisions and support your professional and personal development.

Work out across Germany in over 7,200 studios with our subsidized Wellpass membership.

Flexible working hours, a modern office, and—depending on the role—the option to work from home.

Regular team events—from relaxed beer & pizza nights on the rooftop terrace to shared experiences on ski trips or at Oktoberfest.
