As a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Germany, you'll take genuine ownership of projects, driving mechanical building services design from early concept through to successful delivery across a variety of exciting built environment sectors.

What You'll Achieve As A Mechanical Design Engineer

• Lead the design and coordination of mechanical installations, systems, and equipment across small‑to‑medium scale projects
• Develop and specify HVAC, controls, and building services solutions tailored to project requirements and client needs
• Survey, test, and report on existing mechanical installations, providing expert technical assessment
• Ensure all engineering calculations and technical drawings meet industry, legal, and safety standards
• Represent the business professionally at client, contractor, and design team meetings
• Review and validate technical input from Graduate and Intermediate Engineers, actively supporting their development
• Prepare and update technical specifications and project documentation with precision and clarity

What You'll Bring

• Fluent German (essential); professional‑level English highly desirable
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Experience in mechanical design or specification for at least one building type
• Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and applicable regulationsFamiliarity with German and international engineering codes and standards (desirable)
• Proficiency in MS Office and IT‑based engineering calculation software
• Strong ability to manage your own workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
