Mechanical Lead - Frankfurt - Data Centre

As Mechanical Lead, you will own the delivery of the mechanical scope on a major Frankfurt data centre project. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with electrical and commissioning colleagues, and ensure design, safety, and quality standards are met on a fast-paced site. The role places you at the heart of a flagship, technology-driven project within a growing international contractor. You’ll drive progress from design through handover and shape project success with senior leadership.

• Lead delivery of all mechanical systems across the project
• Manage mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliers
• Oversee mechanical design development and technical compliance
• Ensure works align with programme, quality, and safety requirements
• Coordinate with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams
• Manage interfaces, technical queries, and design changes
• Provide technical input to procurement and commercial teams
• Drive progress, resolve issues, and report to senior project leadership
• Support testing, commissioning, and client handover activities

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Extensive experience delivering mechanical packages on large-scale projects
• Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, pharma, or highly serviced environments
• Proven leadership experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and associated mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of health & safety and quality management systems
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to be site-based in Frankfurt (rotational or expat basis)
