Mechanical Package Manager - Data Centre Construction

As Mechanical Package Manager you will lead the mechanical package for a 27MW hyperscale data centre, ensuring safety, quality and profitability. You’ll coordinate a large on-site team, manage scheduling, and liaise with management to report progress. You will read P&IDs and drawings, drive commissioning and handover, and ensure delivery within the project programme. This role suits a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and guides cross-functional teams to meet ambitious milestones.

• Plan labour, materials and subcontractor resources for the package
• Manage designated packages within the wider project
• Lead and motivate a large team to meet project requirements and deadlines
• Uphold safety and quality standards
• Protect project profitability
• Oversee personnel within remit
• Handle project scheduling and planning
• Report project progress to management
• Read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings and specifications
• Demonstrate proven track record coordinating large projects
• Deliver commissioning and handover in line with procedures

• 5+ years' experience with a major M&E contractor on large commercial projects
• 3rd level engineering qualification or relevant trade background
• Strong communication and people-management skills
• Experience leading a team, delegating work and delivering to programme
• Ability to carry out material take-offs for site requisitions
• Good IT skills – Windows, MS Office
