Medical Affairs Manager

The Regional Medical Affairs Manager – Women's Cancer will act as a key scientific interface between the organisation and national and regional external experts in Gynaecological Oncology (Gynae Oncology) .

The primary objective of the role is to implement the regional medical strategy to improve patient care, while providing valuable scientific insights and regional healthcare perspectives to support broader medical and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external experts, clinical investigators and study groups within Women's Cancer.
  • Lead evidence-based scientific discussions with national and regional healthcare professionals on scientific topics, clinical data and collaborative opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a forward-looking regional external engagement strategy, incorporating digital and omnichannel approaches.
  • Build, expand and maintain a strong regional network of medical and scientific stakeholders.
  • Respond to medical and scientific enquiries from physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals within the region.
  • Provide scientific and medical support to cross-functional teams, including guidance on product safety matters and complex medical questions.
  • Initiate and support scientific projects, including Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS) .
  • Organise and deliver regional medical education programmes, scientific meetings and expert events.
  • Attend national and regional scientific congresses and educational events, representing the organisation and engaging with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Life Sciences , preferably with a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification.
  • Several years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally in a field-based Medical Affairs role within Gynaecological Oncology or Oncology .
  • Strong scientific expertise and/or significant experience in Oncology, preferably Gynaecological Oncology.
  • Previous experience supporting or contributing to product launches .
  • Good understanding of healthcare systems, pharmaceutical ethics and industry compliance requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of drug development, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant pharmaceutical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior external experts.
  • Fluent in German and English .
  • Basic understanding of financial and budget management.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
