Ihr Aufgabengebiet umfasst to join our research group. For this project, we will investigate how exercise, nutrition and/or pharmacological interventions affect muscle, adipose tissue and liver metabolism in volunteers with, or at risk for, type 2 diabetes. Methodologies to be employed include hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamps, exercise testing, magnetic resonance spectroscopy and indirect calorimetry.

• You must have a MD degree.
• You are proficient in performing human experimental studies, experience with the metabolism field and have good communication skills to interact with volunteers.
• You have good organizational and interpersonal skills and are keen to work in a team.
• You communicate clearly and effectively in English and german, both in writing and verbally.

Initially, the position is to be awarded for 22 months . An extension of the contract period is envisaged. The employment contract is governed by TV-L in its current version for North Rhine-Westphalia, including the special regulations regarding the scientific area. The salary is based on qualification and experience, according to TV-L.
