Medical Science Liaison, Cardiovascular Surgery (m/w/d)

As a field-based Medical Science Liaison, you will support the launch and adoption of innovative cardiac surgery products across the DACH region. You will build trusted scientific relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists and other specialists, delivering evidence-based, non-promotional education. You will gather high-quality field insights, support medical education activities, and ensure compliant medical governance. The role combines clinical education, scientific exchange and collaboration with multiple internal teams to drive patient care improvements.

• Build and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with external experts and treatment centers across the DACH region
• Deliver balanced, evidence-based, non-promotional scientific exchange on product and clinical evidence within cardiac surgery workflow
• Support hospital-level clinical preparedness, including education and addressing practical barriers to correct product use
• Capture and communicate field insights on practice patterns, evidence gaps, pathway barriers, unmet needs, and competitor intelligence
• Support medical education activities, congress engagement, advisory boards, expert meetings, and speaker briefings using approved materials
• Respond to unsolicited scientific questions and route complex or off-label inquiries through proper medical information channels
• Ensure timely reporting of adverse events, safety observations, and product quality issues
• Collaborate with internal teams (medical, market access, commercial, pharmacovigilance, medical information, clinical operations) while maintaining medical and commercial boundaries

• Previous industry MSL or closely related scientific role experience
• Strong cardiology/cardiovascular medicine or closely related hospital specialty background
• Clinical qualification: PharmD, PhD, MD, MSc, or equivalent
• Ability to conduct credible scientific discussions with senior clinical stakeholders
• Experience presenting and discussing clinical data with expert audiences
• Solid understanding of non-promotional scientific exchange, medical governance, adverse event reporting, and compliant field medical activity
• Comfort with independent field work, large territory management, and frequent travel
• Fluency in German and English, including ability to discuss complex topics confidently
• Location-based in Southern Germany with willingness to travel across the DACH region
