Medical Science Liaison Manager, Nephrology, North-West

In this role you will advance patient care by serving as a field-based scientific expert for nephrology and related specialties. You will build and nurture peer-to-peer KOL collaborations, translate scientific data into strategic guidance for Medical Affairs, and educate the medical community with up-to-date information. You will collaborate across functions to support clinical development, study feasibility, and medical education while attending meetings to expand regional relationships. • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations with nephrology and adjacent specialties to educate the medical community
• Identify and execute collaboration opportunities between KOLs and Alexion Medical Affairs/clinical development (publications, investigator-initiated trials, regional advisory boards, training/speaker programs)
• Communicate experts’ opinions and data trends to Medical Affairs and TA franchises; translate into strategic recommendations
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests; manage inquiries and coordinate with headquarters to ensure fair and balanced data
• Assist clinical operations with clinical study feasibility and support study implementation
• Deliver high-quality medical education presentations and gather actionable feedback
• Serve as internal therapeutic-area expert and train Alexion staff on key scientific topics
• Attend national/international meetings to gather intelligence and develop relationships with key HCPs in the region

• Relevant life-science degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, Master or Diploma)
• Sufficient experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry as an MSL or with scientific sales experience
• Strong ability to present complex scientific data
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills; able to work independently and cross-functionally
• Willingness to work home-based and travel within the region and to meetings (weekends may be required)
