Medical Science Liaison Manager, Nephrology, South

In this role you will serve as a field-based scientific expert to support Alexion’s nephrology products. You’ll build peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs, translate evolving data into strategic input for Medical Affairs, and collaborate across regions to advance patient care. You’ll educate the medical community, facilitate investigator-initiated work, and help ensure scientifically balanced responses. This role combines clinical insight with business acumen in a cross-functional, home-based setting.

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations with key nephrology experts within the region
• Identify and execute collaboration opportunities between KOLs and Alexion (publications, IITs, regional advisory boards, speaker programs)
• Communicate expert opinions and data trends to Medical Affairs and TA, translating insights into strategic recommendations
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and coordinate with HQ to provide fair, balanced data
• Support clinical study feasibility and assist with study implementation in collaboration withClinical Operations
• Deliver medical education presentations across settings and gather actionable feedback
• Act as an internal nephrology expert and train staff on key topics in the TA
• Attend national/international meetings to network with HCPs and gather intelligence

• Relevant life-science degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, Master or Diploma)
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry as MSL or strong scientific sales background
• Strong ability to present complex scientific data
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
• Willingness to be home-based with regional travel to meetings and events
