- You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous development of data security and data compliance solutions based on Microsoft Purview in a complex, hybrid IT landscape.
- You will analyze existing data flows and landscapes, identify risks, and develop technical and organizational measures to ensure compliance with data protection and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- When integrating Microsoft Purview into existing processes and applications, you will advise and support business units and stakeholders—from requirements gathering through implementation.
- You will develop and maintain policies, regulations, and technical controls to ensure comprehensive data compliance and protect sensitive data.
- You act as an interface between IT security, data protection, Human Resources, and other relevant departments, facilitating communication to establish insider risk measures.
- You monitor current developments in data security, zero-trust architectures, and Microsoft technologies, and bring innovative ideas to the organization.
- You provide support in conducting training sessions and awareness campaigns for various target groups.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, business informatics)
- At least three years of relevant professional experience and possession of the SC-400, SC-401, and SC-300 vendor certifications
- Very good command of German and English
The following are also desirable:
- Excellent knowledge and at least three years of practical experience working with the Microsoft Purview platform, specializing in data security and data compliance as well as related topics (e.g., identity management)
- Excellent understanding of IT architectures—particularly in the context of cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365) and hybrid IT environments
- In-depth understanding of data governance and data security processes in the public sector, as well as their technical and organizational implementation using Microsoft Purview
- Good knowledge of the organizational and regulatory environment (GDPR, ISO 27001), established IT security processes (SIEM/SOC interfaces), and a strong understanding of potential data leakage scenarios
- Excellent knowledge of the administration, security, and management of Microsoft Entra, as well as Microsoft Tenant Administration
- Excellent knowledge of PowerShell and KQL, as well as an understanding of the Microsoft Graph Security APIs
- Good knowledge of advanced security mechanisms and zero-trust architectures
- Good knowledge of stakeholder management within an organization
- Ability to present complex technical content in a way that is understandable to different audiences (ideally demonstrated by membership in the Microsoft Certified Trainer Program)
- Excellent communication skills in German and English

Compensation & Career Prospects
Compensation in accordance with the TVöD (Public Sector Collective Bargaining Agreement) based on pay grade 13, plus a banking allowance (depending on your experience, approximately €65,900 to €95,100), secure public-sector employment with reliable working conditions, varied responsibilities, targeted onboarding, and the option to continue an existing civil service appointment (up to A 15)
