Mobile HVAC / Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY

The Mobile HVAC Service Technician performs comprehensive preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services across multiple commercial properties within an assigned territory. The role requires expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems while maintaining JLL’s high standards of client service and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment to achieve efficient operation and long life expectancy.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, grounds, and production equipment as required.
  • Study equipment and operational methods, including building automation and fire/life safety systems.
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions that affect client occupancy and operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial HVAC service and repairs (or 5 years military experience with HVAC systems).
  • Universal CFC certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Hands‑on skills with commercial HVAC systems, pumps, motors, air handlers, controls, and electrical systems.

SAFETY

  • Complete hazard assessments as necessary.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintain housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable ordinances, codes, or laws.
  • Complete all required safety trainings on schedule.
  • Practice defensive driving at all times.
  • Provide proof of required vaccinations for on‑site attendance.

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Submit P‑card receipts daily.
  • Update work order status in real time.
  • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
  • Escalate problems or issues to the customer and manager in a timely manner.
  • Attend work and safety meetings as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Preferably two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC, plumbing or other craft skills.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
  • 3rd party certification preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license and perform vehicle safety inspection.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS / CONDITIONS

  • Lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Working from heights, including climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
  • Working in adverse conditions (extreme cold or heat).
  • Long periods of driving.
  • Climbing ladders up to 30 feet with a 300 lb limit while carrying tools.

ON-CALL

  • Must be available for call‑in work and other duties as required.

Remote – Jackson, MS

COMPENSATION

Estimated annual compensation: $58,240.00 – $66,560.00 USD.
