MRO Category Manager Europe

In this role, you lead Category Management for MRO across Europe, aligning sourcing with site needs and optimizing supplier panels. You drive value via strategic sourcing, tendering, and contract lifecycle management while ensuring performance, compliance, and total cost of ownership. You collaborate with regional procurement and maintenance teams and engage strategic suppliers to support the group’s goals. The position offers exposure to cross-border, multi-site sourcing and supplier governance at scale.

• Define and implement regional category strategies
• Build relationships with plant Procurement and Maintenance stakeholders
• Manage supplier panels and strategic partnerships with global suppliers
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities in manufacturing and distribution
• Drive supplier innovation, value creation, and cost optimization
• Lead supplier risk management and sustainability initiatives per Code of Conduct and Sustainable Sourcing Policy
• Lead strategic sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiations for multi-site supplier agreements
• Manage full contract lifecycle including governance, renewals, amendments, and long-term frameworks
• Align category activities with procurement processes, systems, and e-procurement standards
• Promote catalog usage and codified items across sites
• Monitor category performance and resolve operational issues with plant stakeholders
• Support digitalization and automation of procurement tools and processes
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to drive governance, savings, and continuous improvement
• Support category performance via budgeting, forecasting, and mentoring junior staff

• 8 to 15 years in procurement, category management, or supply chain with exposure to Technical/MRO procurement in industrial environments
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization across multi-country organizations
• Experience managing trans-European supplier networks, contracts, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships in matrix organizations
• Strong understanding of industrial operations, maintenance activities, and CAPEX procurement processes
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; procurement certifications (CIPS, ISM) are a plus
• Fluent in English and French; German a plus; language requirement for country of residence
