Occupational Safety Specialist - Germany

At Quirónprevención , we are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit – SiFa) to join our team as a freelancer and provide services for projects in Munich, Germany .

In this role, you will support our clients and operations in all aspects of occupational health and safety, ensuring compliance with German statutory requirements while promoting a strong and sustainable safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise management and employees on occupational safety and health matters.
• Ensure compliance with German occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE/EHS programs.
• Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis activities.
• Deliver safety training and awareness initiatives.
• Collaborate with clients, authorities, and stakeholders on occupational safety matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across all activities.

Requirements

Relevant Base Qualification

• Engineering Degree (Ingenieur), State-recognized Technician (Techniker), or Master Craftsman (Meister).
• Relevant professional experience in technical, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

Certified Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (SiFa)

• Completion of a recognized SiFa-Lehrgang through a DGUV-accredited provider or an equivalent qualification in Safety Engineering.

Professional Expertise

• Demonstrable Sicherheitstechnische Fachkunde in accordance with German occupational safety requirements.
• Proven experience in Occupational Health & Safety (HSE/EHS) roles.

Regulatory Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of German occupational safety legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Language Requirements

• German: Native level or C2 proficiency (mandatory).
• English: B2 level or higher.
