Occupational Safety Specialist (m/f/d)

For our subsidiary, avitea Industrieservice GmbH, we are looking to fill a permanent position in the Lippstadt area for a Occupational Safety Specialist (m/f/d).

What awaits you

• Participation in the development and continuous improvement of the occupational safety and health management system


• Advising management and executives on all matters related to occupational safety and accident prevention


• Conducting internal audits in the area of occupational safety


• Regular reporting to management


• Conducting safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work procedures


• Monitoring and supporting the implementation of occupational safety and accident prevention within the company


• Assisting with the preparation, maintenance, and updating of risk assessments


• Supporting instruction and training in the area of occupational safety


• Assisting in the investigation of workplace accidents and identifying appropriate preventive measures


• Collaborating with government agencies, the workers’ compensation association, and the company physician on all relevant occupational safety and health matters


• Performing the duties specified in the written appointment as a certified occupational safety specialist

What you should bring

• Completion of training as an occupational safety specialist in the field of logistics is desirable


• Alternatively: Qualification as a Logistics Supervisor or comparable experience in an operational logistics environment


• Willingness to pursue further training in occupational safety if you do not yet hold the qualification as an Occupational Safety Specialist


• Professional experience in logistics or comparable operational areas is an advantage


• Good understanding of operational processes, work equipment, work procedures, and safe work processes


• Knowledge of occupational safety, accident prevention, and the preparation of risk assessments is desirable


• A structured, responsible, and solution-oriented approach to work


• Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with senior management, supervisors, and employees


• A practical mindset and a passion for effectively implementing occupational safety in day-to-day operations
