Office Manager - Berlin

Stellenbeschreibung:

About the role

We're looking for an Office Manager to help keep our fast-growing Berlin team humming along smoothly.

As our business expands in size, scope, and across borders, we need someone super organized, proactive, and full of positive energy to make sure everything behind the scenes runs like a dream. Think of yourself as the glue that holds the team together – supporting the people who are building the future of energy.

We're passionate about creating amazing tech that changes the way customers use (and think about!) energy – all in the name of a greener planet. This is a great opportunity to play a hands‑on role in Kraken’s growth, help move us toward net zero, and support the energy transition in Germany.

This is an office-based role – you’ll need to be able to commute to our Berlin office at least 4 days a week .

Please submit your CV in ENGLISH.

What you’ll do

  • Be a primary contact for our team based in Germany, as well as clients and partners.
  • Support travel and accommodation arrangements and queries for those visiting.
  • Help organise, host, and run events both internally and externally, including for clients and prospective clients.
  • Help manage and coordinate internal office catering, including large‑scale team lunches and meeting requests.
  • Plan, promote and execute internal events – whether they’re local, culturally specific celebrations or part of wider Kraken global initiatives.
  • Manage internal and external communication across email and Slack.
  • Develop and maintain our health and safety standards.
  • Prepare for new hires – including managing their equipment (whether they’re joining remotely or in‑office), shipping gear as needed, and keeping track of onsite tech inventory and stock levels.
  • Manage relationships with third parties such as cleaners, suppliers and serviced building management.
  • Manage our stock of branded merchandise, both for the office and for external events.
  • Create and maintain clear, helpful office‑related documentation and guides – including keeping our Notion pages up to date.

What you'll need

  • A knack for juggling stakeholders – you’re confident working with all kinds of people, both inside and outside the company.
  • Experience with health & safety processes – assign fire wardens and champion health & safety in DE.
  • A love for planning and hosting events – whether it’s a holiday party or a last‑minute lunch run, you make it happen.
  • An organized approach to getting things done fast – you’re the kind of person who can bring the calm to the chaos and knows how to juggle multiple priorities.
  • The ability to wear multiple hats – you can handle lots of moving parts in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Builder mentality – designed for someone who thrives on autonomy. You won’t just follow a manual, you’ll be the one writing it and shaping what it means to be an office manager at Kraken.
  • Experience shaping culture – while experience setting up a physical office space is a bonus, your willingness to learn, collaborate, and lead the cultural build is what matters most.
  • German language fluency (C1 level).
