Vattenfall

O&M Site Coordinator

Stellenbeschreibung:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Offshore O&M Delivery team for the Nordlicht Cluster.

The cluster consists of two wind farms — Nordlicht I and Nordlicht II — with Nordlicht I set to become Germany’s largest offshore wind farm. Key construction and logistics activities for the project will be supported via the port of Eemshaven. With a combined capacity of more than 1.6 gigawatts, the Nordlicht cluster will significantly expand renewable electricity generation in Europe and support the long‑term stability of the energy system.

Once fully operational, Nordlicht will produce around 6 terawatt hours of fossil‑free electricity annually and transmit it into the German high‑voltage grid — enough to meet the equivalent electricity consumption of roughly 1.7 million German households.

Offshore construction is planned to begin in 2026, with both wind farms scheduled to be fully operational in 2029.

What will you do?

The O&M Site Coordinator is responsible for the status of all site activities, with a special focus on the safe and efficient delivery of offshore operations, contractors and site‑based project management, ensuring that centrally driven projects are effectively integrated on site.

The O&M Site Coordinator works closely together with Regional Support to fulfil the strategic objectives of safety, revenue‑based availability and cost. Core responsibilities include following up on progress status, reporting, coordination and management of tasks and projects on site, informing the Site Manager and Head of Region about status, and managing all external expenditures in conjunction with Regional Support, Central Support and relevant stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key stakeholder, reporting status, coordinating third‑party contractors and site projects, and escalating topics to senior management.
  • Prepare documentation (RAMS, etc.) required for site activities.
  • Keep the Planner function up to date on all progress and changes to the execution plan.
  • Supply the Project Engineer with short‑ and long‑term work scopes to enable creation of site project and maintenance plans.
  • Drive optimization of internal and external resources.
  • Support Regional Support on scope development or procurement of services and third‑party contractors.
  • Collect, review and forward service reports from contractors/third parties to Technical Support, Engineering or Regional Support.
  • Ensure effective execution of centrally run projects to minimize downtime, reduce cost and promote safe operations.
  • Ensure all environmental and consent‑related activities are executed in line with Vattenfall requirements.
  • Realise synergies on regional OPEX and revenue‑based availability loss on projects and activities.
  • Act as Authorising Engineer under the Safe System of Work, including gatekeeping on site‑specific items.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Engineering or other relevant background.
  • Project management skills.
  • Technical background in the wind industry (preferred).
  • High level of communication skill and excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • IT proficiency – intermediate to advanced level of MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, organise time and tasks efficiently and act proactively.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.

Location: Hamburg (Germany)
