Online Adjunct Instructor – ICD-CM Coding

• Communicate with students and supervise Deans or other University staff
• Be available for students via phone, email and for individual appointments
• Respond to Dean/University staff regarding performance and student issues or concerns in a timely manner
• Exhibit appropriate behavior, language, professional communication, demeanor and dress at all times
• Facilitate synchronous learning sessions with students
• Attend events, programmatic meetings, and complete committee work as needed
• Complete a minimum of six Rasmussen Educational Units (REUs) annually or two per quarter for each quarter taught

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of study
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology or equivalent
• CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIA or RHIT certification
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Online adjuncts must have regular access to a computer with Windows XP or greater and Microsoft Office 2010
