Online Supply Chain Optimization Analyst

Location: Remote

Salary: USD 74,230 per annum

Job Overview

We seek a detail‑oriented and analytical Online Supply Chain Optimization Analyst to join our team remotely. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations through advanced data analysis, optimisation techniques, and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, data analysis, and optimisation strategies and a proven track record of implementing solutions that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: analyse supply chain data from various sources to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement; develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into performance, including KPIs and operational metrics; perform root cause analysis to address issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Optimization and Strategy Development: utilise advanced analytical tools to optimise inventory management, demand forecasting and logistics planning; develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service levels; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Supply Chain Modelling: build and refine models to simulate scenarios and assess the impact of different strategies; use simulation and optimisation software to evaluate potential changes; provide data‑driven recommendations for improving design and operations.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: analyse supplier performance and collaborate with vendors to improve delivery times, quality and cost‑effectiveness; manage relationships with key partners to ensure alignment with organisational goals; monitor supplier metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: identify and implement improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency; lead or participate in initiatives to reduce lead times, optimise inventory levels and improve agility; conduct regular reviews of processes to ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Technology Integration: leverage technology to enhance capabilities, including implementing and optimising supply chain management software and tools; stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and integrate innovative solutions; provide training and support to team members on new technologies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: communicate complex data and insights in a clear, actionable manner to stakeholders at all levels; collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, logistics and finance; participate in meetings and provide updates on performance and optimisation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in supply chain analysis, optimisation and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (Excel, SQL, Python, R) and supply chain management systems (ERP, WMS).
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, logistics and procurement.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with supply chain modelling and simulation techniques is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.

Working Conditions

This remote position requires a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace. Standard working hours apply, with occasional flexibility to accommodate different time zones and project deadlines. Depending on project needs, occasional travel may be required for meetings or site visits.
