Mission

The Operations Manager Direct Marketing Germany supports the sustainable growth of Alpiq’s Direct Marketing business by ensuring high-quality operational processes, coordinating customer onboarding activities, and acting as a key interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners.The role contributes to operational excellence by taking ownership of defined processes, driving continuous improvements, supporting the implementation of new products and regulatory requirements, and helping to build a scalable and resilient operational organisation.Through close collaboration with Sales, Trading, Legal, Settlement, and external service providers, the position helps ensure efficient operations, high customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth

Your Main Responsibilities

Coordinate and continuously improve customer onboarding, contract management, and operational implementation processes for renewable energy assets.
Act as a key operational contact for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient coordination across the onboarding and operational lifecycle.
Take ownership of defined operational processes and ensure high-quality execution, data integrity, and timely resolution of operational issues.
Support the implementation of new products, regulatory requirements, and market processes within the German Direct Marketing business.
Drive continuous process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational scalability in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Support portfolio reporting, KPI monitoring, and operational performance tracking.
Coordinate complex customer cases and cross-functional initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to knowledge sharing, process documentation, and the further development of operational capabilities within the team.

By taking ownership of operational processes, coordinating stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements, the role contributes to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and the sustainable growth of the portfolio.

Your profile

2-5 years of relevant experience in energy markets, direct marketing, customer operations, contract management, or a comparable operational environment.
Good understanding of the German energy market, particularly Direct Marketing and renewable energy market processes.
Strong stakeholder and customer management skills with the ability to coordinate activities across different functions.
Highly organised with strong time-management skills and a structured, process-oriented mindset.
Ability to independently manage complex operational topics and drive them to completion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimisation and operational excellence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Fluent in German and strong English language skills.

Nice-to-have

Experience with operational energy market processes such as customer onboarding, market communication, balancing groups, settlement, GoOs, or regulatory implementation.
Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel (VBA), Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
Experience managing projects or coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
Affinity for automation, digitalisation, and continuous process improvement.
