Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

Your Tasks

• Development and Implementation of new technologies for complex opto-mechanical assemblies / mounting technology of high precision elements & assemblies
• Evaluation and documentation of existing processes incl. identification of potential improvements and implementation of optimized processes
• Technical evaluation of customer requests and specifications
• Responsibility and support for implementation of new processes and risk mitigations
• Verification and validation of new technologies
• Support of different divisions as well as different Excelitas sites for transfer topics
• Support of production in case of technical difficulties and trouble shooting

Your Profil

• MSc with experience in mechanical engineering, tech. Physics or comparable
• Ideally experience in optical technologies
• Basic knowledge in statistics (SixSigma, DoE)
• Skills in (self-)organization and data analysis are required
