Packaging System Technology Manager Europe(m/w/d)

As Head of System Technology Europe, you drive the technical performance and reliability of SIG systems across Europe. You will be the central technical contact for Service Europe, partnering with GE&A and GR&D to solve complex challenges and improve machine performance. Your work supports service excellence, maintenance strategy optimization, and cost reduction in technical claims, while leading a team of 10–20 experts. • Provide second-level technical support to SIG Service Europe.
• Serve as the main technical contact between Service Europe, GE&A, and GR&D for European topics.
• Support Service Excellence, SAM, FSE, and Backoffice with complex technical questions.
• Analyze field issues and drive sustainable improvements for SIG systems.
• Support machine complaint investigations and help reduce technical claim costs.
• Collaborate with Reliability Engineering to improve maintenance strategies (APM).
• Support ECS/LMS topics and IT/OT integration.
• Lead and develop a technical team of 10–20 experts, ensuring collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across regions to enable efficient problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in machine construction, technical service, or related engineering environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of SIG filling systems and packaging technology.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and identify effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers, FSEs, and senior management.
• Team leadership skills and ability to motivate technical experts.
• Strong networking skills to navigate international organizations.
• Good knowledge of English (professional) and German (competent user).
• Basic SAP knowledge and advanced MS Office skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (31–50%).
