Part Time - Accounting - Adjunct Instructor

Job Description

The Accounting Department within the Smeal College of Business seeks to hire a Part‑Time Instructor to teach courses in the online Masters of Taxation program.

Responsibilities

• Design and present course material in an asynchronous format that teaches students how to resolve tax law questions in support of economic decision making and tax return position defense.
• Teach courses that provide an in-depth understanding of the ethical constructs that guide and limit the practice of taxation.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of tax law in subjects such as corporate taxation (including reorganizations and consolidated tax returns), tax research, writing and analysis, partnerships, estate and gift tax, exempt organizations, and/or state and local taxation.
• Master’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required.
